Netflix ha fatto la parte del leone nelle nomination ai premi BAFTA TV Awards grazie alle serie The Crown e Black Mirror, in corsa per tre delle principali categorie.
Il capo dell'organizzazione britannica che ogni anno assegna i premi, Jane Lush, ha avuto modo di spiegare che le candidature riflettono l'attuale panorama televisivo. Quindi è naturale che ci sia stato un aumento delle nomination ottenute dalle piattaforme streaming come Netflix o Amazon, e alle realtà britanniche All4 e BBC Three.
La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà il 13 maggio sul palco della Royal Festival Hall.
