Will & Grace terminerà con la terza stagione del revival, l'undicesima dell'intera serie. L'annuncio è stato dato poche ore fa. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes e Megan Mullally hanno ringraziato i fan, approfittando dei propri social.
Will e Grace dirà addio definitivamente ai suoi fan con l'undicesima stagione, la terza del revival ritornato su NBC nel 2017. A distanza di un decennio si avrà quindi l'epilogo definitivo della storia che avrà quindi termine. A dare la notizia tramite un comunicato ufficiale sono stati i produttori esecutivi Max Mutchnick, David Kohan e James Burrows.
"Pensiamo agli episodi del revival di Will & Grace nel modo in cui Karen Walker pensa ai martini: 51 non sono abbastanza, 53 sono troppi. Ecco perché, dopo esserci consultati con il cast, tutti abbiamo deciso che questa sarà l'ultima stagione di Will & Grace."
La sitcom ha recentemente ottenuto 3 milioni totali di spettatori e un rating di 0.74, cifre in calo rispetto alla prima stagione del revival.
L'undicesima, e ultima, stagione di Will e Grace avrà un totale di 18 puntate e debutterà sugli schermi di NBC nella programmazione midseason, i fan potranno così dire addio definitivamente ai loro amati personaggi.
La trama racconta dell'avvocato gay Will Truman (Eric McCornmack), che convive con la sua migliore amica e interior designer Grace Adler (Debra Messing). I due hanno una bella amicizia con la cinica e ricca Karen Walker (Megan Mullally) e il gay squattrinato Jack McFarland (Sean Hayes), sempre alla ricerca di un lavoro.
